I'm from Brooklyn and have recently moved back after teaching English in Spain. I have a bachelor's degree in Spanish Language and Literature and have lived and traveled in Spanish-speaking countries for about four years. I have a C2 certificate in Spanish (recognized as the fluent level.)
I have always loved learning and teaching languages. Most recently, I spent three years teaching English to students of all ages in Spain. Previously, I was the leader of an initiative in which we lived in a rural town in Nicaragua and offered English and art classes. I also tutored international students at my liberal arts College in academic essay writing. Through these experiences I have learned how to teach languages in an engaging way while perfecting my Spanish.
I have loved learning languages since a young age, when I began studying Spanish. I enjoy the mixture of creativity and logic that learning a new language involves, along with the ability it provides to talk to new people and engage with new cultures! I hope to be able to share this enthusiasm with students. Due to my varied background in teaching, I can tailor classes to any specific needs you may have!
