Hi!
My name is Carla, I am currently in a Masters program for Mental Health Counseling and thought it would be a great idea to tutor on the side as I love teaching people my favorite subjects -- Spanish and French!
I was born in Argentina, therefore I am a native Spanish speaker (and continued to speak it throughout my upbringing). I also was homeschooled from 1st - 12th grade through an online Spanish system (which helped with learning all about Spanish grammar and the history of my country) while also attending public school here in the USA.
As per my French interest, I studied French Translation (as well as Psychology) in college and also lived in Paris for 6 months to fully immerse myself in the language and culture. I feel very connected to this language (I started learning it when I was 12), and wish to live in France after my graduate studies.
I am obsessed with learning new languages... I love hearing other people's accents and having a conversation about where they are from. Ever since I moved to the USA, I was exposed to a bilingual way of life (Spanish and English), and I am beyond thankful of this occurrence as it has opened many doors to me, education wise and job wise. I wish to replicate this same way of life to others by helping them learn a new language!
