My name is Christiane Warren, Ph.D. I am a published historian and have had a longstanding, successful career as tenured faculty and academic dean in history and academic affairs in NY and NJ over the past twenty years. I love teaching and writing history and have most recently founded my own education advocacy business. Through my work in higher education and as a scholar, I am not only well versed in college-level course work, but also have become very familiar with the secondary school Social Studies curriculum and the Common Core standards and the expectations of the S.A.T.'s . As a Dean I worked with students who wanted to attend our institutions and created several academic programs for diverse students to support student success. I have been awarded a teaching excellence award by my students and regularly receive positive student evaluations. The 1 on 1 tutoring experience is an ideal learning environment. I served as a long-term mentor at Empire State College/SUNY for adult learners and veterans in advising and tutoring non-traditional learners. My approach is student centered and outcomes focused.
