About Jennifer

Hi! My name is Jen, and I have been teaching since 2000. I taught college English as an adjunct before becoming a high school English teacher. In my seven years teaching high school, I taught the AP English and Language courses. In 2013, I became a full-time professor, teaching undergraduate and graduate courses and serving on PhD dissertations. I stepped away from this position to write full-time, but I enjoy tutoring because it provides me the opportunity to continue working with students.

I have a BA and MA in English and a PhD in Educational Foundations. I started teaching college composition courses in 2000 and have taught English in a variety of capacities since that time. I have over five years experience teaching ACT and SAT prep. I've helped students get accepted to top universities such as MIT, Cornell, Howard, Vanderbilt, and others.

I'm located in the Kirkwood area and would prefer to meet at Kaldi's in Kirkwood, online, or at a coffee shop in the Ladue/Clayton area. I have experience with working with students throughout the US over Skype, so I'm very comfortable tutoring online. Feel free to send an email to set up a session. I look forward to working with you.
