About Hajira

I am a recent college graduate with a Bachelor's Degree in Political Science. In my former role (2019-2020), I volunteered as a youth mentor and tutor for refugee students at a local high school where I was responsible for co-leading and managing a diverse class of students in both individual and group settings. I provided English tutoring and mentored students to support and encourage them while serving as a positive role model.

Between the years 2015 and 2020, I volunteered as an English teaching assistant at my university where I adapted classroom activities, assignments, and materials under the direction of the supervising teacher for the purpose of supporting and reinforcing classroom objectives. I led group speaking sessions for non-native English speakers, and interacted and assisted students with their speaking and conversation skills.

I can provide tutoring in English, ESOL, Literature, Writing, the Social Sciences, and the Humanities.

I am fluent in English, Pashto, and Hindi / Urdu.
