I am a BSN trained Nurse with 18 years of a wide variety of bedside experience. I have worked Medical/Surgical, Orthopedics, and Telemetry. A majority of my background is in Critical Care Nursing with experience in Medical, Cardiac and Surgical Intensive Care Units. I have worked in the Emergency Department (Adult and Pediatrics) of a Level I Trauma Center (U.Mass Medical Center) and currently work as a Flight Nurse with UMass Life Flight, specializing in the rapid air transport of critically ill patients. I hold certifications in Emergency Nursing (CEN), Flight Nursing (CFRN), and teach Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS).
I also am an Adjunct Clinical Faculty for senior Nursing students at Becker College and U.Mass Lowell Schools of Nursing.
With this experience I have a wide base of knowledge and enjoy sharing this in a useful and practical way. It is my goal to take seemingly complicated subjects and theory and transform it into a practical understanding that you can apply at the bedside, while enhancing your understanding of how this fits into the "big picture" of your patient's overall health/condition.
I look forward to working with you!!
