About William

For my day job at an education non-profit in Boston, I manage a network of writing support centers in Boston Public Schools. Through this work, I have worked one-on-one with hundreds of Boston Public School students of all ages on reading, writing, and other literacy assignments.

Over the past 3 years, I have found a niche for myself in offering college essay support to high school juniors and seniors, including hosting an annual College Essay Boot Camp at Northeastern University that serves hundreds of students.

The College Essay (also known as the "personal statement") is a very important, challenging, but often overlooked component of the college application process. Many students (and their families) spare no expense on test prep., while neglecting the college essay and other written portions of the Common Application.

Do not make this mistake.

I am a former journalist with excellent communication skills and years of experience with one-on-one tutoring. If you hire me, I will help your student tell a compelling story about themselves that will persuade colleges to admit them. I will guide them along every step of the process, from brainstorming and drafting, to revision and proofreading.

In addition to the college essay, I can also support with supplemental, scholarship, and other long-form essay responses.
