I am very interested in contributing to the homeschool movement. I have taught hundreds of college students, and now I am preparing high school (and even earlier) students for college through my tutoring. I teach excellent reading and writing skills. Depending on a student’s need, I can focus on general skills or a specific assignment. I can also design a course of study in reading and writing about excellent young adult literature or adult classics of American, English, and World literatures. I think it is important to find texts and topics that will be of interest to the individual student, with the understanding that great literary works demand our adjustment to them; they do not adjust to us. Of course, that is the challenge and reward of any course of study! It stretches our minds and souls. I have a very flexible schedule and I am generous with my time. Try me!
