My name is David, thank you for taking the time to read over my About page! I am happy to report that, here on HeyTutor, I have over 600 hours of tutoring with over 100 different students and 38 5-Star Reviews!
I have about 6-7 years of tutoring experience. As a tutor I feel my main job is to break down complicated material into easy to follow steps, show where mistakes are being made and help my students become self sufficient with their education.
My main area of expertise is Mathematics, Chemistry, Physics and ASVAB/ ACT/ SAT test prep. I can work with all levels of students and groups of students, from elementary to college.
To help facilitate tutoring I use my iPad Pro with Apple Pencil over Zoom. While tutoring I share my screen so that students can see as I carefully work through the problem on my Notability app. Also, with Zoom students can record our lessons to keep for future reference and I can email PDF copies of the work we do during the lesson.
A Little About Me:
I earned my B.S. in Chemical Physics from the University of California, Davis. After graduating I worked two Department of Energy internships, one at Lawrence Livermore Laboratories and another at Idaho National Laboratory. My project ranged from Graphene and Fullerene to Ionic Liquid Electro Refining. I am currently working on my masters in Nuclear Science and Engineering at Idaho State University. I am a Chemistry, Science and Mathematics tutor at ISU and also work on a nuclear related project at CAES (Center for Advanced Energy Studies) in Idaho Falls.

So far it’s been good . My son seems to understand David’s way on how David is tutoring. Thanks you .
So far it’s been good . We just have to get the time right . Thank you .
We are unhappy with this instructor. My son is not benefiting from this person at all. I want to quit
Unfortunately David was unable to solve or help my son with any of the three problems at issue. The session was a total waste. Nothing was solved. Very disappointed. I think we need to find someone else.
