I am a third grade licensed teacher who has taught elementary students in the DOE system for over 10 years. I have taught all grade levels including English language learners. I do well at motivating struggling students who may also be disillusioned with learning itself. I am patient and believe all students can learn if given the right materials and the right encouragement. When I work with students, I try to target the specific areas of need and focus my instruction on helping them there as that, not only provides them with significant gains, but it also helps boost their own self-esteem. I do this while also working on all other areas of the subject areas I am tutoring them in.
I am a Hawaii Licensed teacher. I have 2 Masters degrees, one in Education. I have extensive experience working with struggling students and English language learners.
