I'm currently a university student starting my 3rd year, studying psychology and cognitive neuroscience with a special interest in genetics and the impact of genetics on the brain's behavior.
ESL tutoring: I have been teaching ESL for the past 3 years, teaching ages 3-16. I specialize in teaching very young students and making classes fun so that there's less fear to speak up. From experience teaching and learning languages, I believe that the best way for kids to learn a language is for them to have fun while learning. I create a positive safe environment in my classroom filled with play and stories to allow children to experiment with language and learn in a natural way. This lets children take risks and learn from mistakes, making learning English less scary and easier! I utilize a play- and task-based learning style. I am TEFL certified
I have experience with special needs and would be happy to work with any student's individual needs.
I also specialize in proofreading. I will work diligently to make sure your paper is reviewed to meet any goals/requirements you have for it. I can focus on grammar, formatting, composition, clarity, or anything else you'd like. I will make sure to get your proofread paper returned as quickly as possible and will offer feedback and follow-ups if you have questions or want more proofreading on your work. I can assist with APA style and citations if this is something you need.
As a German tutor, I provide homework assistance as well as immersion courses and conversation skills. I can work with you at any level and help you feel more confident in this complicated language. I learned it through immersion, myself and am happy to help others. I specialize in working with children and young adults learning German.
As a student, I am passionate about biology, psychology, and genetics, so if these are topics you'd like assistance with, I would be more than happy to help
I'm looking forward to meeting you and helping you learn in the best way possible!
