I earned my Bachelor of Science in General Biology from the University of California, San Diego, and I extended my knowledge and experience at the Salk Institute for Biological Studies where I learned about genomics using Arabidopsis thaliana as a model organism to further understand plants at the level of DNA. I also continue to appreciate mathematics because of its complexity and imagination that can encompass other disciplines. I have helped students in return particularly with mathematical reasoning and my insights of biological systems especially when I was in high school and in college.
