After working a few years in business, I transitioned into education through an AmeriCorps teaching fellowship. I served two years in AmeriCorps working with 6th -8th grade in Houston, Texas. There I led after school enrichment STEM programs and also taught supplemental ELA classes. In my second year of service, I co-taught 7th grade English and 6th grade Math. Since moving to San Diego, I have worked with grades K-10 in science enrichment programs, academic coaching in Math, Science, and English, and executive functioning skills. I love working one on one with students because it allows me the opportunity to build strong rapport and give students the dedicated attention to become independent learners.
