Hi! I'm a writer and freelance journalist with academic publishing experience.
Recently, I've helped to produce college-level Biology and Psychology textbooks for Pearson Education and SAGE Publications as an editorial assistant. I'd like to make it easier to become an eloquent, informed, and intelligent citizen, and feel I'd make an even greater impact by teaching students directly. I am on the path to pursuing even higher education myself, with the eventual goal of teaching at the college level.
I currently volunteer weekly at 826 LA, a non-profit organization dedicated to supporting students ages 6 to 18 with their creative and expository writing skills, and to helping teachers inspire their students to write.
