Hello all! I'm Tricia. I received my bachelors degree in Biology at UCSB just this spring. Science is my "frienemy" because I am so curious and passionate about it, yet it never came easy to me. I struggled with AP Biology in high school myself, yet was determined to pursue Biology in college. I have explored many methods of effectively learning myself, and I offer this knowledge to my students, along with an empathy of what it is like to struggle to grasp difficult concepts.
I am also passionate about the Spanish language. I was exposed to it as a child but only really committed myself to learning it in college. I excelled in my courses and am still on the path to becoming a fluent speaker. As a non-native speaker myself, I know how to excel in courses, have a firm grip on grammar, and relate to my students (of all ages!) to help them both understand and fall for the language like I have.
