I have a B.A. in Art from UCLA's School of Arts & Architecture and a Master's from Kunst Institut in Basel Switzerland. I have exhibited in galleries and museums internationally, and also worked as a studio assistant for many artists in Los Angeles. My experience in tutoring ranges from teaching young children (as young as 10) the basics of observational drawing and painting using a variety of media: charcoal, pencil, oil pastel and acrylic paint.
I also have experience consulting with high school students who are preparing to apply to university arts programs and art schools. I use my real world art expertise to advise students on how to edit their artist statements and edit their portfolio selections. I bring my experience of perfecting the subtle art of writing grant proposals to my students, helping them prepare for a lifelong practice of writing and speaking about their creative work in institutional and professional contexts.
