About Gemma

I recently received my BA from Bard College, where I studied a liberal arts curriculum and have a heavy focus and experience in writing, reading, research, as well as in the arts. I am comfortable with critical thinking strategies and appreciate the value of learning subjects from a variety of angles and understand that there are many different learning strategies, and I am intuitive and capable of working with whatever the student needs. I am an artist and musician and love to teach in the arts, and can help with guitar, synth, or voice! I also know Latin as I was a Classics minor in school. I've always loved to learn and remember times when it was hard for me and am focused on making those experiences of academic challenge a place for growth.
