Chen Gu was born in Sichuan, China and grew up in Dallas, Texas. She has a B.A. in creative writing from Brown University and an M.F.A. in fine arts from the University of New Orleans. Chen enjoys working with students of all ages, especially those in middle school and high school. Her former students have been accepted into Harvard, MIT, the Fulbright Program, Columbia, and Yale University, among others. She currently works at American English College as an ESL and TOEFL tutor. She is also available for guidance on academic essay, college application essay, and creative writing development.
