I have both a Bachelor's and Master's degree in Piano Performance from The Juilliard School. After completing 4 years of study in both Ear Training and Music Theory during my undergraduate program, I was a TA for one of the Music Theory classes as a Master's student where I worked with freshman and sophomore music major students. I both taught and tutored the students with the philosophy that these subjects should be fun because it's easy to start to feel like these subjects are just busy work. I would tailor the sessions to fit the students' personality.
