Hi there! While I began tutoring other students in middle school and high school, my formal training in teaching started in college with a variety of education courses coupled with practical experience. During this time, I worked with preschool, elementary, and high school aged students through school, work, and internships. I also acted as a teaching assistant for a plant identification class and have thoroughly enjoyed each one of these experiences! I graduated with a degree in botany and am currently working at a nonprofit that specializes in forest restoration projects.My main jam is natural science, but having taken and excelled in several writing intensive courses throughout my college career, I am also able to proofread and provide feedback on writing assignments. My favorite teachers have always adapted and responded to various learning styles, and I strive to the same in any educational role. I think learning is awesome, and I want to take any frustration out of that process, and hopefully we'll be growing in our own roles as student and tutor together!
