About John

Hello! My name is John, or Yahya, and I have been tutoring and teaching since 2013. I graduated from St. John's College in Annapolis, MD with a B.A., Double Major: Philosophy and the History of Math and Science; Double Minor: Comparative Literature and the Classics. After St. John's, I completed Zaytuna College's B.A. in Islamic Law and Theology. Afterwards, my wife and I moved to Egypt for three years to further our Arabic studies.

My tutoring specialties are the Liberal Arts, English Grammar, English Literature, the Classics, Rhetoric, History, Logic, Philosophy, Arab, and Islamic Studies. I have my own curriculum developed for each subject.

I have been studying Classical Arabic since 2013, tutoring since 2015. I lived in Egypt and Mauritania for three years.
