I love working with students, both in groups and one on one.
My favorite subjects to work in are psychology and social sciences (including statistics), writing, and literature. Tutoring these subjects is interesting because there is room for discussion and growth in the way students think. This makes it easy to converse with students and guide them. My hope is for the student to process the ideas presented in social sciences and literature thoroughly with me, touching on themes and theory that interests them. I find that enjoying a topic facilitates better learning, and so it is my goal to find ways to help students want to learn.
I am open to tutoring both lower and higher level coursework, although I do have more experience working with high-school and college age students. I graduated Magna Cumme Laude at the undergraduate level with my Bachelor's degree in Psychology, and am pursuing my Masters degree at Cal State Fullerton in Clinical Psychology.
I work as a graduate assistant, so I am working with students on a weekly basis and am comfortable with questions and helping encourage you in every way I can to succeed in your education. I have additional experience with tutoring students in essay writing, as I have experience leading study groups that focused on facilitating excellent written work.
My availability is very flexible; please contact me with questions or comments!
