About John

I have over 25 years experience analyzing and writing up mathematical, statistical, economic, financial, and other problems, and how to explain that analysis and write up to people in language that they understand. Over the last 10 years, I have focused that experience by teaching and explaining how to break down problems and analyze them to both students and professionals via tutoring and other teaching opportunities.

While you will find lots of "subject matter" experts, in most cases this is not what you need because if the "expert" could explain it to you, you would not need a tutor. Rather, my focus is on finding ways to explain the information so that the student can process, analyze, and develop their own understanding, so they can use the information. This problem solving approach allows students to develop an understanding of the material for the actual environment (academic, workplace, etc.) that they will have to apply the subject in.
