About Earle

I've always had an enthusiasm for learning and an eagerness to pass on my accumulated knowledge to others. I have over ten years of college-going experience, appeared on the dean’s list, and my papers have been published for graduate seminars; I’ve earned three college degrees, featuring two writing-intensive baccalaureates from the world-class University of Washington College of Arts & Sciences; I've taught and mentored for decades at numerous municipal parks & recreation departments in the Seattle area; and I’ve specialized to teach English as a Second Language (ESL) to non-native speakers. Together with this depth and breadth of knowledge and experience, I can maximize the student’s session value by delivering only the most pertinent instruction, and in a way that encourages retention and comprehension by being easily digestible, engaging, and thought-provoking.

Ways I can help students:

>Mechanics of the English language: Parts of speech, rules of grammar, punctuation, spelling, and vocabulary;

>Complexities of Reading Comprehension: Constructing word meaning through association, building a strong vocabulary repertoire, distinguishing context, and retention strategy;

>ESL Equipped: Certified to Teach English to Speakers of Other Languages (TESOL);

>Essay Writing: Identifying effective research topics and resources; evaluating and synthesizing results into one’s own words; and using compositional styles and formats;

>Understanding & Writing for the Humanities: Concepts in world history, literature, mythology, philosophy & religion, visual & performing arts, and more.

I look forward to learning with you!
