Hi, I am Rachel (Yijun) Wang, a native Mandarin speaker with proficiency in English. I graduated from University of Maryland- College Park with a Master of Finance Degree.
When applied to business school, I achieved a GMAT total score of 700(89th percentile), Quantitative score of 50(51). I have 2-year experience with tutoring Math including algebra, geometry, logic and probability. I have worked with students of all age and different backgrounds which requires me to apply teaching methods in accordance of their grade level. My background in financial industry allows me to help them solve a same problem in different ways.
My proficiency in traditional Chinese and Pinyin system will make me an ideal candidate for a Mandarin teacher. I have experience working with non-profit programs to provide authentic language learning classes for students. At the end of the program, the speaking, listening, reading and writing skills of my students were significantly improved.
