I currently work as a reading specialist for students in grades K-4 and act as the districts dyslexia advisor. I have tutored students outside of school in grades K-5 in reading, reading comprehension, and writing. I am also an ESL teacher for the district. I have my certification as a classroom educator with the Orton-Gillingham approach for students with dyslexia. Before working as a reading specialist I was a high school English teacher and advisor for the National Honor Society. I hold a bachelors in science in secondary education English, a masters in education reading specialist, a TESOL post-grad certification, and I earned my doctorate in curriculum and instruction.
