My name is Ian Kraft and I am a graduate of the University of Mary Washington who majored in Spanish. While I was in college, I was a tutor to members of several sports teams and honed my skills helping students come up with unique ways to remember difficult materials. My approach is to give students examples of the sorts of zany memory tricks that I used to help me remember Spanish vocabulary and then have them come up with their own tricks. My opinion is that learning is too much about what's in the book and not enough about what's in the students' heads.
Because of the current health crisis in this country, I am only accepting virtual tutoring jobs at the moment.
