I am an effective, and passionate educator and tutor, specialized in Spanish speaking skills.
Subjects that I teach: DUAL LANGUAGE PROGRAM, SPANISH I, SPANISH II, SPANISH III, SPANISH IV, HEALTH CARE AND BUSINESS SPANISH.
I have a Bachelor degree as a Business Administrator, with a major in Accounting, from the University of Colombia, (Colombia, South America).
I have more than fifteen years of experience as a Spanish teacher, and tutor for kids two years old to high school students in private schools in Dallas, Plano, and Allen TX. I have being a tutor for students of the Allen, McKinney, and Plano ISD schools, and adults as well. I am currently a Spanish teacher part-time in a private school in Plano, TX for high school students. In the afternoons I work independently as a tutor.
Teaching Spanish is my passion, being a native speaker, and bilingual, allows me to generate comprehensible ways and strategies for learning, so children encounter that learning Spanish is fun and easy to learn.
My sixteen years of experience and professional development have given me the tools to be an effective Spanish Teacher and Tutor. Students enjoy the class, and discover that learning Spanish is easy and practical. My conversational style helps students to raise their school grades, and learn faster and become more confident about his capabilities.
Since deciding to become a teacher, I have been totally dedicated in learning successful teaching strategies that provides the best knowledge to my students. For me, teaching is a special mission, and I have worked very hard to make a unique contribution in my students’ life.
I like to make children feel recognized and rewarded for being and doing their best. I will find out their motivations, their learning style, I will praise their effort; I will work hard on their weaknesses, even if it requires extra-time on my part. It is my belief that creating a good relationship with children, showing a sincere interest in their lives, contribute to establish an environment of mutual respect. I never give up on a student. My reward will come when parents come to me to thank my great job with their kids.
