Dayne Herndon is a prolific 24-year-old multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and music producer from Dallas/Ft. Worth, Texas. Having played music his whole life, and having explored computer-based music production for a decade now, Dayne pursued guitar studies at Berklee College of Music with a primary emphasis on jazz while enrolled in the Electronic Production & Design program. In 2014, Dayne left school, working briefly as a QA tester and audio hardware and software developer for SONiVOX, a subsidiary company of music industry leader inMusic (mother company of AKAI, Alesis, Numark, Air, etc.). He moved to the Berkshire Mountains of Western Massachusetts in early 2015 and relocated back to Dallas/Ft. Worth in late 2017. The past several years have seen Dayne performing across the country and beyond, facilitating interactive music workshops, teaching private lessons, and providing original music and sound design for documentaries, films, animations, and more.
In 2014, Dayne initiated his solo project Starseed, featuring original electronic compositions infused with guitar and vocals. Since that time, he has released 8 albums and a number of singles as an independent artist and has shared the stage with renowned acts such as Govinda, Jade Cicada, Jackson Whalan, and others; has offered performances at a wide variety of venues and festivals across the planet, including GeoParadise Tribal Gathering, MindBodySpirit Festivals, Frendly Gathering, MycoSymbiotics Mushroom and Arts Festival, Mystery Trance Festival, and many more; and has been featured on major blogs such as Jamsphere and Emerging Indie Bands. He is always seeking to push the boundaries of creative expression, to honor the sacredness of play, and to pay homage to the timeless, infinite, and multidimensional dance of creation.
