I have a passion for teaching and education that is reflected in the 20 years that I have taught. Hundreds of students have passed through my classrooms over the years and many of them have attended tutoring sessions with me as well.
I once had a colleague pass a student to me for tutoring telling me that he was "unteachable." That student went on to receive recognition by his Medical Terminology instructor as the most improved student in the class at the end of the year. Not only was he teachable, but he was earning A's on his exams! What he needed was someone who could help him find the best learning techniques for him and I was delighted to help him discover his ability to succeed in the classroom.
I have a very diverse educational background with a PhD in biological and forensic anthropology, a MA in biological anthropology, a BA in anthropology (archaeology) and sociology with a minor in geography, and a JD from the Ohio State School of Law. Most recently, I have been teaching courses in biology for both majors and non-majors, anatomy and physiology, forensic sciences, and forensic anthropology. I can tutor these areas for high school-level students as well as college-level students. I may also be able to tutor basic chemistry for high school-level students.
I am always happy to see students be successful in their education and hope that I can provide assistance to you as well!
