Hello, my name is Blessing and I am an Honors student with a Bachelors of Science (BS) degree in Chemistry and am close to receiving my Bachelors of Science degree in Mathematics and Biochemistry through the University of North Texas. On my free time I enjoy playing violin in a string quartet with a couple of friends, playing D&D, and playing with my pets.
I have been tutoring for a total of 4 years. My most rewarding experiences include tutoring Organic Chemistry as a Supplemental Instructor with my university's learning center and as a professional tutor for the university's athletic academic department. When I am not doing Organic Chemistry or Biophysical research, I also volunteer tutor for Organic and Physical Chemistry for university students and peers through organizations such as our student American Chemical Society (ACS) chapter and Alpha Chi Sigma (ΑΧΣ) which is a professional chemistry fraternity whose main goal is to strive for the advancement of chemistry both as a science and as a profession. I have also had the privilege of being hired for a professional Mathematics tutor position through my university's Math Lab in our Mathematics department (from Algebra up to Differential Equations) but also privately tutor Mathematics and test prep through other online tutoring profiles such as Wyzant, universitytutor.com, and Thumbtack.org (where I met with clients on a regular weekly basis). Through the latter, I was able to work more closely with clients and their families. (references available upon request)
Tutoring is a great passion of mine and there's nothing more rewarding than to see someone go from being confused on a subject to ultimately understanding, mastering, and in some cases, even loving the subject! Through my experience, I worked with both large and small groups of students but have found that One-on-One/One-onTwo tutoring model to be most favorable for most clients I have had because it all the more hands on.
The subjects I tutor include the following:
My first sessions are usually free in order for the client to determine whether or not they would like to continue services. If the client would like to continue lessons, then we will set up a consistent meeting and setting time along with a payment plan. I also make reviews tailored specifically towards problem areas the client may have and are available through email to guide any practice problems they may be stuck on.
If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email me at *** with the subject line of (Last Name_First Name: Subject you want assistance in) and I will get back to you within 24 hours. My rates are negotiable and my schedule can be flexible if need be. I look forward to speaking with you!
