About Ben

Hello. My name is Ben. I am originally from Belgium and I have lived in New York for ten years. I hold a Master of Science in Applied Mathematics from Hofstra University and I have tutored students of all ages from Middle School to Undergraduate levels mostly in Mathematics subjects. I can do SAT preparation also. I am also an engineer from Rensselear Polytechnic Institute, which is where I got my very first tutoring job when I was an undergraduate student.
I have patience, motivation and I like to set up a structured study plan with students. I have also taught classes of Algebra at De Vry University, where I currently work as a tutor, and Berkeley College in New York City. I live in Upper Manhattan but traveling to anywhere in Manhattan, Brooklyn and Queens is not a problem for me, as long as the location chosen is within ten minutes walking from a train station. Thank you for your interest in Hey Tutor and I look forward to work with you.
