I am a first year medical student in the Sophie Davis School of Biomedical Education/ CUNY School of Medicine, a 7 year BS/MD program housed by City College. I have 2 years of professional tutoring experience for the Sophie Davis School with teaching Physics I and Epidemiology to college freshmen and sophomores, and I have been tutoring privately since my sophomore year in High School. I love teaching students of all ages and backgrounds. I am experienced in test prep. My goal is not just to raise your grade, but also to pass on the love of learning and to bring passion and excitement into even the most boring subjects.

This guy is awesome, broke down topics for me in a way my professor could not. Will continue meeting with him, very pleased with his attention to detail.a year ago
It truly is because of Josef that I did well in Physics I. Josef is extremely dedicated to his students and came prepared to every meeting. He answered every question I ever asked accurately. If a concept was difficult to understand, he used various ways of explaining it until I really understood. I like to say that you're only as good as what you can teach. The fact that Josef was able to teach me and his other students the information better than the professor explained it is amazing. On top of his skill at explaining concepts, he was always upbeat and energized no matter how late it was or how long it took you to answer a question. His confidence in me in turn boosted my self confidence. I went from being scared of physics to being able to explain concepts to other students because of him. Josef really goes above and beyond to make sure his students succeed, and I couldn't be more grateful to have had the opportunity to be his student for a semester.a year ago
