I am a PhD student in Anthropology at UC Berkeley (though I live in New York). I also hold a BA from New York University, where I majored in Mathematics and Comparative Literature.
I have worked extensively as a private tutor over the last eight years. I primarily work with middle school and high school students, helping them write A+ essays for English and History classes, as well as perform well on Math tests.
I also specialize in college applications and have helped several high school seniors enter Ivy League universities.
Finally, I am fluent in French and have tutored middle-school and high-school students in it.
I always tailor my tutoring approach to the needs of my students, challenging them while also ensuring that they enjoy learning. I strive to create a friendly, enthusiastic and motivating environment for the students I mentor, in which they feel free to ask questions, learn from mistakes and make progress. I believe that students learn best when they are both challenged and given ample support for completing their assignments. I am an expert learner and help students develop learning skills that will serve them well into the future.
