Having grown up in a family of educators, I aspired and practiced at every opportunity to be a teacher from a young age. It was natural for me to pursue training/a degree in education/as a public school teacher at Smith College where I received my B.A. (Later on I studied education policy at Columbia University for my M.A and currently studying at Nyack College to receive a second M.A. and license in mental health counseling.) In short, I've taught elementary and middle school in North NJ and abroad and have tutored/mentored over 15+ years with over 50+ students, many over a long period of time, focusing on different subjects. I have worked in partnership with the parents/students to show student progress/improvement over time. I would be delighted to share more about my background live.
