About Cristl

I'm a patient and knowledgeable online math tutor, with 16 years experience. My passion is teaching students who are struggling in math, and giving them a foundation and confidence so that they can succeed in math. I have over 15,000 hours of tutoring experience, and tutor students all over the country. My subjects are Algebra 1 & 2, Geometry, and Common Core Math levels 1-3 (including Honors classes for all subjects). I also tutor PreCalculus, ACT math and SAT math, but only with established students.
My former career was in molecular biology research at Johns Hopkins and Duke Universities. I began tutoring as a volunteer for under privileged children and adults, and that experience has helped to hone my skills to quickly detect deficient areas, so we can work on those to build a foundation of understanding.
My hours are 1-11pm M-F Eastern time with some weekend availability.

Amazing Tutor!
Cristl is THE best tutor! My child began struggling with honors Algebra I in 7th grade and I was really,really desperate for help. After searching Wyzant for tutors, I was ever so lucky to find Cristl! Not only is Cristl patient and kind, she’s an incredible tutor. In 7th grade my child went from hating math and barely getting C’s to receiving A’s by the end of the year. Cristl is not only a fantastic tutor but she also builds confidence. Cristl has tutored my child for the last 5 years in many subjects including Honors Algebra I, Honors Algebra II, Honors Geometry, Honors Trig/Precalc, AP Engineering classes, AP Statistics, Honors Chemistry, AP Physics,SAT Math and some AP Calc. In order for her to build back her self esteem, you have to go back to the foundation and this is just what Cristl has done.
