My name is Mary Rose and I am a teacher with 26 years of classroom experience. Helping students learn is a joy for me. I have taught all subject areas in elementary school as well as seventh grade math, and have been a classroom teacher for all grades from first through sixth.
Hundreds of children have learned to learn to read and write with my help, and I have taught all levels of math through pre-algebra.
As a veteran teacher, I know how to help children succeed and recognize that children have their own styles of learning. Parents appreciate my patience and sense of humor while working with their children. I am a strong advocate in the philosophy that children learn best when they know they are cared about and in a comfortable environment.
I have been actively involved with homeschooling communities and administered standardized tests for homeschoolers for several years. In addition to teaching, my life has been filled with the adventure of raising six children along with my husband, Dave. We have also had the pleasure of raising two of the best dogs in history!
I am willing to work at many locations around the Twin Cities area but my availability is limited. You may contact me for a preliminary conversation or to arrange a meeting to determine if I am a suitable fit for you and your child. I look forward to working with you!
