I am a graduate of Georgia Tech with my bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering. I've been involved in math and science all my life, not just learning, but also teaching. I have many younger brothers that I've helped tutor over the years along with many of their friends. To me, tutoring is a two way street.
As I teach the subject to someone and they gain knowledge, I help reinforce my knowledge of the subject as well. I believe that you get the most out of tutoring by not only giving the student more confidence in their ability to grasp the concept, but also by understanding different ways to tutor and connect to different types of learning curves. I believe that helping people gain a better understanding improves confidence in the subject and themselves.
I have taught the subjects of Math, Science and Engineering to a multitude of students within STEM camps at Oakland University. I have given lectures to students about Biomedical Engineering, specifically its importance in the modern world, its many applications in different fields of industry and last but not least, why a student should want to become one. I've developed projects for students to do in order for them to understand the practical application of Biomedical Engineering in the industry. My goal is to make students understand what Biomedical Engineering is and the technology that Biomedical Engineers are responsible for developing in today's world. I am confident in my abilities to assist students in all Math and Science subjects from elementary Math to Calculus and elementary Science to College Chemistry, Biology and Physics. I have taken elementary math, algebra, pre-calculus, calculus and differential equations thus I have a lot of experience in the subject. I am confident in my abilities to teach whatever must be explained and give thorough detail.
I have also taken various science classes in my educational career such as Anatomy and Physiology, Biology, Chemistry, Organic Chemistry, Biochemistry, and Physics (modern and classical) along with a few other advanced science courses. My wide knowledge of the subject makes me an ideal tutor for anyone who is in need of help in the field of science.
Personally, I'm a big sports fan. I love basketball, football, baseball and track and field. I played all of them while growing up and am always watching sports in my free time. In my free time, I like to perfect my skills in 3D CAD drafting using CAD and SolidWorks software. I have a lot of experience in these applications and am very interested in 3D printing and Additive Manufacturing. I believe 3D printing is the future and will soon be used in all facets of life from industry to everyday usage at home. Personality wise, I am very personable guy and when it comes to helping others, I am a very patient person who is always willing to help others succeed no matter how long it takes. Feel free to contact me anytime and I look forward to working with anyone who needs my help. I'm flexible timewise and would be of assistance to whoever needs it.
