About David

I have a PhD in Physics and a Bachelor's degree in Math and Physics. My experience tutoring and teaching ranges from high school students who needed help in AP Physics or Calculus all the way to postdoctoral researchers trying to better understand advanced concepts in biophysics. I believe in fostering understanding of basic concepts, teaching methods for problem solving, and finding techniques that allow the student to better learn the material even when I'm not there. Ideally I'd like to be able to put myself out of a job as quickly as possible. In addition to this kind of in-depth tutoring I'm also comfortable with working in smaller chunks: test prep, one particularly difficult section of a class, quick refreshers after summer brain drain, etc. I'm here to help.
