I have been a substitute teacher for high school and middle school in algebra, trigonometry, calculus, physics, earth science, history, English (including ESL/ESOL), business and world history/civilization. I've taught adults in many subjects including: business administration, business and geopolitical analysis, competitor intelligence, new product concept and development, technical writing, proposal & grant preparation management.
I am very patient yet focused and will work with each student to help find their own best way to learn a given subject. I draw upon my own experiences freely to help motivate students to love learning and demonstrate relevance of a given topic in their lives and their dreams for a productive and happy future.
I have 40+ years of experience as an engineer, senior executive leader and manager, and high technology business consultant in multiple fields including aerospace, electronics, manufacturing, biotechnology, research & development, business administration & management, intelligence collection and analysis. U.S. Navy veteran. Amateur radio operator and electronics troubleshooter.
I speak English, some Mandarin and Spanish with a smattering of many other languages.
