I've been teaching for close to thirty years and firmly believe that there's no reason anyone should cry over their homework or suffer from crippling test anxiety. I had my own share of academic agony, and have realized that the key to doing well in school is a matter of marshalling your resources--and a good tutor can be the best resource. We can also have a lot of fun. I don't think of any class I teach as successful unless people laugh during that class, and I feel the same way about tutoring. Most students have a lot on their plates, so I like to make the best use of tutoring time while making the experience enjoyable and enlightening.
