Elementary Math and ACT Reading tutor

Hello, I am a certified teacher with experience teaching all grades preschool- 12th. My elementary experience has taught me that I love to teach the primary students phonics, grammar, spelling and reading. I also have planned, implemented and analyzed many reading and writing interventions for students who were not meeting grade level standards in the form of small groups and one on one instruction. I also, of course, have taught the other elementary subjects as well (math, social studies, science).

Currently, I work at a middle school as a permanent building substitute teacher in which I teach all content classes including English, Math, Social Studies, Science, Special Ed. and many electives.
I also have worked as a private tutor for over 2 years for both elementary and middle school children during after school hours. I am available for sessions starting at 2pm (central time).

After getting to know the students' strengths and areas for improvement I will design custom lesson plans and activities to help the student succeed in the needed area of improvement.

I also have a Bachelor's degree in History and would be overjoyed to help students with their Social Studies classes including government, politics, history, civics etc. as well.

My qualifications are as follows:

Bachelor's in History
Minor Psychology

Master's in Education
Illinois Teaching License
Highly Qualified Teacher under the No Child Left Behind Act (2002)
