Hello! I am a recent graduate of the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign, where I studied chemistry from 2013 to 2017. I have had wonderful teachers that helped me understand the art of teaching and learning. Learing new material can be overwhelming and even stressful, especially when the material is dry or uninteresting to the learner. No matter the material, I always try to find ways to make learning a positive experience. I became a tutor to teach chemistry/math, and I want to inspire students as well as support my community. I utilize lesson plans and take notes on student development to ensure that every student is organized with their learning progress. My teaching philosophy is to encourage learning, and get students to believe in themselves. Students just need positive feedback, and proper communication to perfectly nail any material. I want to help students overcome the doubts they have with their homework or tests as well as give them the push to learn anything they want.

I have about 1 year of tutoring experience with other private tutoring companies, and I am currently tutoring a young boy with his 5th grade math education. Before meeting me, he hated math! He stressed over learning and saw it as a chore. My enthusiasm and spirit brushes off onto my students, and before long, my 10 year old student was listening better, focusing harder, and finishing practice assignments quicker than ever. I also taught 2 high school students over the last 4 months. One was a Sophomore that needed high school chemistry help online. After just 2 lessons, we reviewed and mastered loads of chemistry material and the math behind it all. Overall, my experience with tutoring students has been a positive one, and I hope to continue inspiring all my students to get excited about learning!
