I am a local youth counselor for at-risk youth. I graduated top of my class from a college preparatory high school for math, science and technology. I continued my education, earning a degree in English and psychology; currently finishing up my master's of science in clinical child psychology. English, literature (American and British), and writing/composition are strong subjects for me; however, I'm well-equipped to tutor math and science as well. I believe firmly in discovering both the styles and patterns for which each child learns; every child is different. I have flexible availability in the evenings and open flexibility Sundays - Tuesdays. The tutoring location can be at a safe place such as a local bookstore or at the student's home with parental supervision. I am also available to tutor online. References available upon request!

Jonas has been tutoring our son for a few months now. Our son is dyslexic and has development delays, so he needs help with reading. I have never seen him so at ease when approaching reading. He normally would get frustrated and quit. From the first day me and my husband met with Jonas we knew he good fit. He doesn't make our son feel judged. He just purposes to help leave him better off than how he found him. Also, after every lesson Jonas is sure to involve us with details of what they accomplished and will be working on next. I never feel out of the loop. Jonas rocks!2 years ago
Jonas was by far one of the best tutors we've had for our high school student. He helped make Algebra fun and easy to use for our son who was struggling otherwise. The way jonas relates to youth helps them feel comfortable and actually encourages them to want to learn. I have and would recommend his services to anyone with a child who thinks they hate learning.2 years ago
