Hi all! Although I haven't tutored in a long time, I love teaching other people. I'm patient and easy going, but thorough and will make sure you learn the subject I teach well. I tend to think outside the box when tutoring so that way the experience is more interesting than just learning scripted conversation from a book. I have actual experience in Japan and can impart cultural/ediquette knowledge as well as language teaching. My Spanish language skills are intermediate level so if you are a beginner I can teach you easily. Speaking with an appropriate accent is important to me whether it is Japanese or Spanish, so you won't learn the language with a strong American accent. I have tutored English adults and children alike in the past. I have extensive conversational and writing skills; my Mother was an English teacher so I was taught to be very perfectionistic about my English. I am a good editor and can help you improve your writing skills if needed. I also have a lot of marine biology experience since I run a company that specializes in growing live corals for saltwater aquariums. I have been guest speaker at several major reef aquarium events over the years. Let me help you learn!
