I tutor because I love to. I have been tutoring since I was in the seventh grade, and I never once thought of stopping. Since I was a kid, I was always good at math, but I never really liked it. Being good at a subject in which others struggled bothered me, so I used my skills to help others, and that's where I found my love for math. I began helping my friends with their math struggles, and soon after, that turned into tutoring for local organizations and at school. When I graduated high school, I missed tutoring kids, so I took a work study job tutoring at-risk students. It was one of the best experiences in my life, and I wouldn't trade it for the world.
Though I love tutoring math, I also absolutely adore everything having to do with writing, film, and tv production, so I went to school for telecommunications production and marketing. I've worked on projects from narrative web series to corporate videos to major commercial shoots, and am currently working in production for HSN. I also have experience teaching these skills, as I've shown the ropes to several of the students I help teach.
As I stated in my bio, I've been tutoring math for over 8 years. I love algebra and all of its intricacies, so tutoring it is one of my favorite things to do. My favorite part of tutoring math is coming up with new tricks and rules to teach difficult processes and theories to understand. From seventh grade on, I started tutoring elementary kids in FCAT math and basic math skills, as well as continuing that into my college years through my work.
Please feel free to contact me if you have any questions on if I am the tutor for you!
