For me, those moments when students "get it" and figure out the problem or the concept they have been working to understand is magical. I enjoy helping students grow more confident and curious! My general philosophy is to focus on making science interesting, which means emphasizing both the practical applications and the fun. We will go beyond the textbook and the homework handout if that's what is necessary to help a student get excited about science and improve their learning results!

I've been a science teacher at both the middle and high school levels and have taught all science subjects at one time or another. I've tutored dozens of students during the past several years and all of them have achieved big leaps in their comprehension and their grades.

I hold a B.S. degree from Arizona State University and a masters degree in science education from Montana State University.

I am fairly flexible when it comes to meeting times and locations.
