I am a software engineer with a major defense company who enjoys helping others learn to program or expand their abilities in multiple languages. When helping others learn a language, I prefer not to follow a strict course outline, but, instead, go with the student’s pace. If the student is able to pick up something real quick, no need to spend a lot of time on that topic; if they are struggling with another topic, it hurts the student to move on if they do not fully understand something.
I have a Bachelors in Computer Science and have been a Software Engineer for a major defense company for over two years. During both my classroom time and at work, I have, on several occasions, helped out fellow students and co-workers. I spent one school quarter assisting one of the instructors with his class, and, on many occasions, had fellow students reach out to me for help before going to the instructor.
