Outside of my time at heytutor, I am a biochemistry student at the Metropolitan State University of Denver.
I also work for the university as a supplemental instructor for biology students and have roughly 100 students on my case load. While science is my specialty, I am a true jack of all trades. My experience with fine art, graphic design, and software development has allowed me to create aesthetically appealing resources for my students such as diagrams, flow charts, comics, and other visual tools. As a visual learner myself, I understand the importance of incorporating that aspect into the standard learning model. However, I realize not everyone is a visual learner and also have a myriad of activities and approaches for different learning styles (kinesthetic, auditory, etc). In addition to my 100 students, I also have a 20 month old daughter. Needless to say, I reserve an abundance of patience and work well with all age groups.
