As a life-long learner, I bring a wide-range of academic, cultural, social, and process-related skills to my educational approach. I value adapting to the needs of each individual through a thorough engagement with the personality and needs of every student I work with. I love the educational process--teaching and learning. The enthusiasm with which I unfurl various subjects allows for even the most disinterested students to find something to be curious about. During the weekdays, I teach theatre and physical education at an elementary-age charter school in South LA. I am comfortable working with all ages from TK/K through college-level. Although my specialty is literature and writing, I am also fluent in math and some sciences. I look forward to the opportunity to impact your educational experience in a positive and productive manner in the near future.

Joseph has been helping our special-needs son for over a year, supervising his acquisition and re-acquisition of especially mathematics and science, in addition to executive function. After helping him through a well-known reading program for the umpteenth time, he also guided him through a well-known mathematics curriculum that we supplied. But what makes Joseph very special is that he also devised a curriculum on his own, tailored exactly to our son's enthusiasms, to give meaning to their work. This proved to be the lynch-pin of our son's progress, and when Joseph decides to write this up in a book, he will have a fortune in grateful parents. He will succeed at everything he does. I can recommend him without reservation.2 years ago
